      Ye Huang, born in 1998 in Shenzhen, China, an all-round musician specialising in clarinet, saxophone, piano and composition. At 9, he studied clarinet with Yi Cheng, the principal clarinet of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra. At 11, he moved to New York where he began studying classical clarinet with clarinet professor Alan Kay at Juilliard Pre-College. At 12, he was playing and touring with world class masters and orchestras. Ye Huang graduated from New England Conservatory of Music with a degree in Jazz performance and studied with Jerri Bergonzi, Miguel Zenon and others.


      Ye Huang is currently leading the big band of Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai and he has performed all over the world including Lincoln Center, the Blue Note, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and major concert halls. Between 2016 and 2019, he toured with many world-renowned musicians, such as Arturo Sandoval, Eddie Daniels, Mike Stern, Dave Weckl and with The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis in their China tour. In October 2022, Ye Huang as the first featured young Chinese musician joined the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and premiered Wynton's original piece "Shanghai Suite" in New York’s most prestigious Rose Theater..
