A cornucopia of creative collaboration curated by teachers and our Artists-in-Residence, this exhibition features an impressive volume of artwork and design pieces by students from Kindergarten to Secondary levels as well as works from our Fashion & Design School and professional artists. The exhibition not only celebrates the voyage of raising innovative minds for the future but also reflects Yew Chung Yew Wah (YCYW)’s dedication in cultivating students’ creativity through art education and how art is inseminated into everyday school life.
Founder’s Day this year is of distinctive significance as the entire Yew Chung Yew Wah (YCYW) community will gather together celebrating our 90th anniversary where our founder, Madam Tsang Chor-hang, established the first Yew Chung back in 1932. YCYW has since then grown from a small seed planted in Hong Kong to an unrivalled school network stretching across 12 cities globally. As a pioneering institution, we have set world-class benchmarks over the past years.
The day begins with an opening ceremony and followed by a VIP reception for our fellow parents, alumni and school leaders where there will be the unveiling of some of our exciting developments over our celebratory year and beyond.
In celebration of YCYW’s 90+ anniversary, a sport-related collaboration is launched with KEEP.
All students, staff, and the public are encouraged to participate in this initiative online through the app or offline for students in schools.
The College’s first charity movie gala event featuring the film “Sunshine of My life” will be held on 6 November, 2022. The featured film is a semi-autobiographical drama from Hong Kong theatre actress Judy Chu about a teenager’s struggling relationship with her blind parents. Furthermore, we are honored to have invited Judy Chu, the film-director and playwriter of this movie for a special sharing session, facilitated by YCCECE student, after the screening. Please note that all proceeds generated from this charity movie gala event will be used to support the scholarships need of YCCECE’s Bachelor of Education (Honors) in Early Childhood Education students and their SEN concentration studies.
